I first signed on to help Sho with the petition for public finance in January, I find his collaborative leadership style to be refreshing that's what our city needs I also admire the fact that he is not a wonk, I am a cyclist with 27 years of riding for transportation and recreation and I think the Sauvie Island Bridge proposal is a waste of money. It's time we had somebody with Private sector Business experience in the Mayor's office for a change.

There is no better man to put in the Mayer's office than Sho Dozono.

I first me Mr. Dozono when he brought us passengers traveling to Japan. I was very impressed with his courtesy and respectful/appreciative spirit. Since then I have learned of his strong leadership and positive contributions within the community. Most importantly, I believe him to be a man of integrity. He is a man Portland would be proud to call mayor.

My family and I are supporting you Sho for Mayor! We believe in your ability to do an excellent job as our future Mayor.

Not many locally owned travel agencies were able to survive the devastating events of September 11th. Sho Dozono's business not only survived but thrived, while competing against large, out of state corporate travel conglomerates. Sho's commitment to; taking care of the needs of Portlanders, keeping locally owned Oregon businesses at the forefront, while operating with integrity at all times, demonstrated to me as a competitor, that Sho Dozono has the character, integrity, tenacity and the following to accomplish anything he puts his mind to. My vote's for Sho, because I know he can take Portland places...I've seen him do it.

Sho has my support for mayor. I have had the pleasure of interacting with Sho in a variety of capacities including a staff member of a Board he serves on, running an event his company sponsored (which he sponsored to show community support more than strictly good business) and seeing him at a variety of other nonprofit/civic events. He’s a greatly respected leader who has always had sound advice. I cannot think of a better choice to lead Portland.

As one Eastside Guy to another, Sho Dozono is a guy I admire. During the age of the internet, when most traditional travel agencies were forced out of business, Azumano Travel not only survived but thrived. We need Sho's common sense, fiscal accountability and business skills to guide Portland through the tough times ahead.

You have my vote, its time for a fresh change on this city. I have faith in you that you will improve funding problems and the economy, I'm glad you decided to stay, I was going to skip out on voting if all i had was the alternative.....

From having learned about Sho Dozono's community service and local roots, as well as having had the opportunity to meet him and his wife recently at a dinner hosted by the Deputy Consulate General of Japan, I think Mr. Dozono would make an excellent mayor. Not only does he have the business acumen to do the job and keep us in good financial strength, Sho Dozono also has the sensibilities and sensitivies of working closely with families and students in Portland over the years, from the time he was a teacher at Cleveland High. It's also time that an increasingly multicultural city be represented by leadership from one of Portland's longstanding minority groups, Japanese Americans. I think Dozono has the necessary gravitas to do the job.

I have long admired the emphathy and support Mr. Dozono has shown to the city of Portland and the world. I would be proud to have him as Mayor of my native city.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Sho during my tenure at the metropolican Human relations commission in the early 80's. He has my support and my vote..Portland needs a Mayor like Sho -- When do we get started?

Sho Dozono made a lasting impression on me 34 years ago as my professor at PSU. He taught a Japanese language class that was one of my favorites because of the friendly way he dedicated himself to the teaching and to the students. His success in business and civic activities since then have come as no surprise. I believe Sho Dozono would be a great mayor.

Mayor Potter opened the doors to City Hall, and I know Sho will keep them open. I have found Sho to be a quiet, effective leader concerned only with the best interest of Portland and its citizens. He's not driven by his ego, and outside of the campaign trail, you'll never hear him boast of his 30+ years as a successful, innovative businessman and community activist. I have NEVER endorsed a political candidate in my life. This is a first for me. We need someone in government who cares about the people in the city and not their personal agenda. I believe from what I have read that Sho is the person who can fill the position of Mayor and has the community's best interests at heart. I hope my "gut" feeling isn't wrong here. Thanks Sho for staying in the race. I have a limited budget, I live within my means, however I can spare $50 to your campaign support.

On the first anniversary of 9/11 I was visiting Portland for my first time and was invited to take part in a commemoration ceremony. Sho Dozono was one of the primary supporters that helped put the event together. The outpouring of love by him and everyone from the community here has inspired me to return many times since then. I am proud to say, as a result, I have moved to Portland and am happier then ever . Thank you for welcoming me and demonstrating how much the Northwest really cares about people.
